Welcome to Connect Audiology. We are glad you are here! If you want to build a connection with your Audiologist, you are in the right place. We want to be partners with you in your hearing journey.
We specialize in providing thorough hearing exams and detailed consultations to help us determine the exact nature of your hearing concerns. We will spend time learning about you, your hearing loss, your lifestyle, and your specific listening needs. A consultation will determine if your hearing loss is due to a medical condition, or to more common causes such as genetics, noise exposure, or natural aging. We'll help you understand your auditory system, from the ears to the brain.
If test results indicate that you could be helped by medical treatment, we will promptly refer you to a physician. Most hearing losses are not medically treatable but hearing aids or assistive devices offer significant help. If this is the case, we will make the recommendations for the technology, style, ear coupling, batteries and the assistive devices most appropriate for you. We will patiently and thoroughly explain our findings to you and your family.
Did you know that some types of hearing loss are preventable? We believe in the use of hearing protection to prevent further damage to your hearing. There are several options available depending on the specific type of noise or music you are exposure to. Schedule a visit to see what your best options are. Together we can take the necessary steps to protect your hearing.
There is a large body of research suggesting a close relationship between hearing loss and diseases like diabetes and heart disease.
Call us to schedule a consultation and take charge of your hearing.
Studies have shown that untreated hearing loss can affect your cognitive health. Compare your brain to your body. when you work out, the muscle groups that you exercise remain healthy and the ones that you neglect stay weak. Untreated hearing loss affects your brain in a similar manner. When there is hearing loss, your brain receives less stimulation and over a period, this can lead to memory loss and even dementia.
If you or your loved ones have difficulty hearing, call us to make an appointment today.
Hearing aids were found to reduce the risk of falls as well as depression and loneliness. Hearing aid use was also found to have a positive impact on cognitive function. Patients who wore their hearing aids reported that they stayed more socially active.
We accept Medicare. If we are out of network with your insurance, we are happy to bill your insurance on your behalf so you can receive the out of network benefits that are available to you.
